Palm chloramphenicol (B) particles (Chloramphenicol, Palmitate (Polymorph, B) Granules)
The main ingredients of this product are: palm chloramphenicol (B). The chemical name: (B crystal) - Su D- (-) -N-[a- (hydroxymethyl) -b- hydroxy ethyl two chloro nitrobenzene]-2,2- acetamide -a- palmitate.

[pharmacology and toxicology]
This product is chloramphenicol palmitate, in vitro antibacterial activity after oral administration in the duodenum by pancreatic lipase hydrolysis into chloramphenicol absorbed into the body and exert antimicrobial effects. It has antibacterial activity against aerobic gram negative bacteria, gram positive bacteria, anaerobic bacteria, Rickettsia, leptospira and chlamydia. Bactericidal action on the following bacteria: influenza bacillus, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Neisseria meningitidis. Only has the inhibitory effect on the following bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus viridans, group B hemolytic streptococcus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella typhi, Salmonella, Shigella, Bacteroides and anaerobic bacteria. The following bacteria are usually resistant to chloramphenicol: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter, enterobacter, viscid Sarre, indole positive Proteus, methicillin resistant staphylococci and enterococci.
This product belongs to bacteriostatic agent. Chloramphenicol is fat soluble into bacterial cells by diffusion, and reversible binding in the bacterial ribosomal 50S subunit, the polypeptide chain growth (likely due to inhibition of transpeptidase role), suppressing the formation of peptide synthesis, thereby blocking protein.
