27卷1期结构化学 (JIEGOUHUAXUE) V_0l_27． No．1 Chinese ． Struct．Chem． 70—，74 Synthesis，Crystal Structure and Thermal Properties of N,N -Bis(5，5-dimethyl- 2-phospha．2．thio-1，3-dioxan-2-y1)Ethylene Diamine① REN Yuan．Lina， CHENG Bo．Wenb ZHANG Jin．Shub ZANG Hong—Junb KANG Wei．Min 一 DING Chang—Kunb 。(School ofTextile of7~anjin Polytechnic University,Tianjin 300160,China) (7~anjinMunicipalKeyLaboratoryofFiberModificationandFunctional Fiber,Tianjin Polytechnic University,7~anjin 300160,China) ABSTRACT The title compound N~V-bis(5，5一dimethyl一2一phospha-2一thio-1，3一dioxan一2一y1)ethyle— ne diamine(DPTDEDA，C12Hz6N204p2S2)was synthesized by the reaction of neopenty1 glycol， phosphorus thio-chloride and 1,2一ethylenediamine，and characterized by elemental analysis，IR and H NMR spectra．Its crystal structure was determined by single—crystal X—ray diffraction analysis and the thermal property was analyzed by TG analysis．The crystal structure belongs to monoclinic， space group P2lIc，with a：14．557(16)，b=l1．299(12)，c=12．163(13)A， =98．707(19)。，D。= 1．305 g／cm ，Z=4， =0．71073 A，p(MoKa)：0．447 mln～，Mr=388．41，V=1977(4)A ，F(O00)= 824，S=1．107，the final R=0．0478 and wR=0．0810 for 1738 observed reflections(，2D(D)． x—ray analysis reveals that the crystal strucn1re is centrosymmetrically distributed through 1．2一ethylenediamine to join two distorted six—membered rings．The weak N-H…S interactions are observed and link the molecules into sheets．TG analysis shows that the title compound has good thermal stability and char-forming capability，which are required for an excellent intumescent fire retardant． Keywords
