Khadori power station in Geor ia takes water from two rivers with a transbasin diversion system.The method of measurin dischar e by orifice is economic and practical which is applied to the model experiment of diversion system. The numerical model is set up to simulate the orifice by standard kturbulence model. The dischar e coefficient of desi ned orifice is measured by the experiment. The distribution of velocity and the dischar e coefficient of numerical calculation are well fitted with experimental results. The numerical simulation of the orifice verifies the experim
