ABSTRACT
In the Chinese character intelligent f ormation system without Chinese character library, it is po ssible that the same
basic element in diffe rent Chinese characters is diffe rent in po sition, size and shape. The geometry transf ormationf rom
basic elements to the compo nents of Chinese characters can be realized by aff ine transf ormation, the transf ormation
knowledge acquisition is the p remise of Chinese character intelligent f ormation. A novel algorithm is p rop osed to ac-
quire the aff ine transf ormation knowledge of basic elements automatically in this p aper. The interested region of Chi-
nese character image is determined by the structure of the Chinese character. Scale invariant and location invariant of
basic element and Chinese character image are extracted with SIFTf eatures, the matching po ints of the two images are
determined according to the p rincip le of Minimum Euclidean distance of eigenvectors. Using corner p oints as identif i-
cation f eatures, calculating the one-way Hausdorff distance between corner po ints as the similarity measurementf rom
the affi ne image to the Chinese character sub-image, aff ine coeff icients are determined by optimal similarity . 70244
Chinese characters in National Standards GB 18030-2005 character set are taken as the exp erimental obj ect, all the
characters are p erf ormed and the exp erimental courses and results are p resented in this pap er.
