[ 1], and rela- tionships betw een magnitude and epicentral intensity of southeast littoral are obtained by statisticalmethod. Com- pared w ith others experiential formu la, the formu la given in this paper has better app licab ility for southeast littora,l the basic intensity of aftershock of Quanzhou C ity in Fujian Province is determ ined by th is formula. Therefore, a theoretical foundation is provided by th is formu la for the forecast research of earthquake d isaster influenced from the mainshock and aftershock together.
