About the clinical value of brain natriuretic peptide in the diagnosis of heart failure and treatment evaluation [Abstract] Objective To investigate the clinical value of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) in the diagnosis of heart failure and treatment evaluation. Methods 88 cases of heart failure patients in our hospital, according to the New York Heart Association functional classification (NYHA) by immunofluorescence quantitative determination of BNP levels; classification analysis of plasma BNP levels and heart function, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVDD), comparing plasma BNP levels before and after one week of treatment with disease relationships result of heart failure in patients with plasma BNP levels increased with increasing NYHA class; plasma BNP levels and LVEF negative LVDD into positive related; BNP higher the illness more severe the patient’s plasma, plasma BNP levels before and after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P lt;0.01) Conclusion The determination of plasma BNP for heart failure diagnosis and treatment evaluation of important clinical significance.
