Lesson Plan of Unit 5 Nelson Mandela -- a modern hero （第4课时） 一、教材内容分析 覆盖内容：Using language（Listening Reading and discussing） 教材分析：本单元的中心话题是当代英雄纳尔逊·曼德拉，阅读、听力等所选材料通过黑人工人伊莱亚斯的叙诉，主要介绍了纳尔逊·曼德拉的生平事迹，语言知识和语言技能等都是围绕这一中心话题展开的。本课时教学内容是听力与阅读教学相结合。在听力短文中，伊莱亚斯讲述了他为了争取与白人平等的权利而参加了曼德拉的非洲国民大会青年联盟。在阅读短文中，伊莱亚斯讲述了他在罗本岛监狱服刑期间得到曼德拉的帮助；在非国大掌权后，在曼德拉的安排下，伊莱亚斯又回到罗本岛监狱担任解说，向游客介绍罗本岛的过去。 二、教学目标 ??Develop the students’ listening and reading skills. ??Enable the students to learn to express their own opinions and ideas. ??Get the students to learn about some great people and learn noble qualities. 三、教学过程 Part ⅠListening （13 minutes） Step 1 Brainstorming (group work) Before listening, let the students discuss the question: What things do you think were unfair in South Africa? 【设计说明：组织学生听前“热身”，回顾刚学过的阅读课文中关于南非黑人曾经面临的一系列不平等的现象，增加对听力材料背景的了解。】 Step 2 Listening (single work) 1.
