However, whether informal employment in various industries emerges agglomeration and its relationship with formal employment are still vague. Based on demographic census and labor statistics, this thesis evaluates the scale of informal employment in manufacturing and customer services in prefecture- level cities in 2000 and 2010. The research demonstrates informal employment in different industries emerge significant agglomeration and the most agglomerated type is informal manufacturing while the least is formal employment. The agglomeration extent of informal customer services is similar to population. According to the spatial index of dissimilarity, there is close relationship between formal and informal
