The basic purpose of the middle school reading teaching is to enable students to study by themselves without the teachers talk (Ye Shengtao). The ability to read books, in particular, is the ability to select various reading methods flexibly and effectively according to different reading purposes, so as to achieve the best reading effect. In my opinion, the key to self reading is the level of metacognitive ability of students.
Metacognition is the subject (students) and of his own state of mind, ability, task, goal, cognitive strategies and other aspects of knowledge, is the cognitive subject of their cognitive activities planning, monitoring and regulating. Reading as a complex cognitive activity, the students metacognitive ability also has two aspects. One is the knowledge about reading, reading is one of the main methods and means of knowledge, such as how to read, how to find and put forward the question, how to write the abstract, how to do the card, how to punctuate; the second is knowledge about cognitive activities, which can consciously make a detailed plan for reading activities on the reading process can make the necessary monitoring at any time, so as to make appropriate adjustment, such as according to certain reading purpose, reading method, in the process of reading, to constantly remind yourself: Introspection and read it right? Does reading do so for the purpose of reading? So as to constantly adjust their reading, to achieve the best reading effect. In reading teaching, I deeply feel that students will monitor their reading process and their results consciously, which will have a very positive effect.
