Education Education in Canada is compulsory,that is,children from ages 6to16are required by law to attend school. Elementary school runs through to grade 6 or 8, and is followed by secondary school or high school. in some provinces, high school is divided into junior high and senior high. students must complete high school to be admitted to college or university. Higher Education Canada has a large selection of universities and colleges located in both urban and rural settings in every region of the country.
