Debrief: What did we learn from that? Do we all need some sort of support If support makes us feel good and is so important, do we always give or get the support we want? What keeps us from giving or getting it? (the belief that I might look weak, I don抰 want someone to feel obligated, I can do it right myself? So this is a kind of belief that may have an adverse impact on our behavior results. This make us reluctant to ask for or offer support. How can we get or offer more support to others? (ask for them, check if others need support. It this true? Let us do some experiments. Experiment 1: Filter Show the slide of yellow dot and ask what do they see. Then add the slide of blue dot. Lastly the red dot. (When you put on the slide of big red dot, hide the slide of small red dots above it) .Put all slides together and ask what they see. .Ask if they see the small red dots. (Usually not!) Show them the slide. Debrief: Why can not you see the small red dots? .Explain: We all see the world through filters as if we are wearing sunglasses. Filter is built based on our life experience. We all have it. Filter is important in making our live easier but can also cause bias. It is important for us to know what kind of filter we hold so that we can make appropriate choice when needed. .Further elaborate how filter exists by the following 2 exercises ?selective perception and lock-in, lock-out.
