The stud w as em phasis on the anatom of the an terior renal fascia and its m edial comm un ication. Results ( 1) There were fluid collections in the left anterior renal fascia in 28 cases, in the righ t anterior re- nal fascia in 17 cases and in the bilateral anterior renal fascia in 16 cases. ( 2) O f 28 casesm anifested flu id collections in the left an terior re- nal fascia, the flu id collections located m ain l in them edial portion was 7 cases, and lateral portion in 1 case. In 19 cases, the dem arcation w as clear between fluid collections in the anterior renal fascia and the mesenteric vessels of the decending colon. ( 3) Below the inferior pole of the kidne , bilateral anterior renal fascias continuous across them id linew as seen in 8 cases, and 2 casesm anifested the fluid collections in the b ilateral anterior renal fas
