教学要点:
I. Starting point
Teaching steps: 1. Ask Ss to follow the instruction of playing a memory game,but only 30 seconds for reading.
Ask Ss to work in pairs or groups and discuss the methods they used to memorize the words. Be prepared to prompt Ss about different possible methods,for example, memorizing by: using pictures and images;using appearance; using a systematic chain of meaning associations; using antonyms and lexical sets; making a story; alphabetical order or random order? Writing the words repeatedly? Making a bilingual list in your mind?
Ask one pair or group to summarize their methods to the class. Ss should realize: it is better to be systematic than to learn the words one by one; visual methods help many people(including picture in your mind)
