T he basic principle and method of fractography retroestimating fatigue stress with fatigue striation widths is given. A pplications of fractography retroestimating fatigue stress with striation widths are investigated. T he results show that, for blade fracture in engineering, the fatigue stress can be conveniently obtained through the simple retroestimation method with striation width, and the lower relative error can be achieved.
