Compared w th ot her remot e reg ons n th e w orld, major 3 on concent rat ons n prec p t at on are very low n t he late summer n Dasuopu Glac er, w h ch nd cates that the at mospher c env ron ment s very clean n t he north ern slope of Mt . X xabangma and may be represent at ve of the background of prec p t at on chem stry . In t he late summer, the prec p tat on chem stry s m n mally nfluenced by ant hropogen c pollutants as revealed by prec p t at on pH ( mean value of 6. 0) and major on concentrat ons n the nort hern slope of M t.
