白芨的传说 原文：古时候，有位会稽将官，从边关外保护皇帝回京。一路上，杀了十七名番 将。看看来到山海关口，突然有六个番将追杀上来，这将官先掩护皇帝进关，自己返冲 出去，迎敌冲杀。不料终因太疲劳了，寡不敌众，被人砍了四刀。但他却稳坐在马背上， 冲回来，来到关前，一声大吼，竟把马儿提上城头。那些番将瞪眼咂舌都惊呆啦，忙用 箭射，这将官身上又中了好多箭，最后被救到皇帝面前。 皇帝见了很感动，马上命令太医抢救。血止住了；断了的筋骨 连接骨上了；就是 肺被箭射穿，呼吸急促，嘴里还吐着血，很危险。皇帝下令张贴榜文，征求能人前来医 治。这天，有一位老农，拿着几株象棕榈叶一样的草药，草根有颗象菱角肉的块块，献 给皇帝道：“请皇上把这根块烘干，磨成粉，冲服并外敷。” 不久，那将官果然伤口 愈合，嘴里也不吐血啦。皇上见了很高兴，要封老农做官，他不要；皇上赏他银子，他 也不要。 皇帝问他道：“你要什么呢？” 老农笑笑说：“我什么也不要。只请皇上把 这味草药，叫太医院编入药书，公布天下，使咱老百姓也会用它来医治肺伤出血就行 了。” 皇帝连连点头道：“好，好好!就这样吧!这药叫什么名字呵？”老农回答道： “还没名称呢，就请皇上取个名字吧!”皇帝想了一想，问道：“你叫什么名字呀？” 那 老农说道：“我叫白芨!”皇帝笑笑道：“那就叫它为‘白芨’吧!” 于是就有了中药白 芨。 翻译： In ancient times, a general of Huiji protected the emperor to return to capital from out of border, and killed 17 enemies on the way.
