Analyzing the ef fe t of sw inging on the syst em via the bifur at ion diagram, phase diagram and amplit ude-f requen y spe t rum, the t ypi al nonlinear hara terist i s of su h rot or systems wit h dif ferent stru tural paramet ers w ere revealed, thus providing a referen e to the f ault diagnosis of su h rotor syst ems. T he results show ed that t he eff e t of t he v ibration due to sw inging on a running tw o- span rotor system is of signifi an e, and t hat t he nonlinear amplit ude-f requen y hara terist i urve of a rotor system w ith looseness fault present s several unsmoothed peaks.
