This facial cream is free of fragrance. 2. free (v.) from/of: to release; not to control; to relieve. e.g. This new medicine would free the patients from pain. c.f. 1. for free: without charge. e.g. He offered to help clean my car for free. 2. set free: to release; liberate. e.g. They have called on the govern- ment to set the political prisoners free. Promise v. 1.to tell sb. that one will definitely do. e.g. He has promised that he will help me in my English.
