The Possible Risk and Supervision of Bancassurance in China L I U Chan, Z H A N G S en,F U R un -min (Yunnan University, Kunming　650091, China) Abstract:With a trend of mixed management in China, the bancassurance, a new kind of financial cross-business, is to bring about a variety of risks to the bank, the insurance company and the policy- holders as well.What the insurance company is faced with is the product development risk due to the technological backwardness and the cost raising risk from bank charges.The risks that the bank has are mainly those of the credibility and purchasing opportunity given that the customers have not ob- tained expected interests.The policyholders came up against the capital-flowing risk in that they are poorly informed of the details of insurance products.In this paper, it is argued that the avoidance and decrease of the risk can be accomplished by changing separate supervision pattern in the separate man- agement model.It is indispensable for the bank and the insurance supervisions to perfect their cooper- ation and information communication in a short period.
