As times changed, the traditional transporting modes was replaced by cars and trains, and new transporting lines was also formed, but they coincided with the ancient roads in some sections. It is of great cultural significance for Tengger Desert for not only it is a blending area for nomadic and farming cultures, but also it is an important intersecting road net area for the prairie Silk Road, the land Silk Road, the ancient Salt Road, and waterways on the Yellow River.
