以学生为中心教师英语教学话语重要性论文
On English Teacher Talk in Middle School
盘锦市辽东湾实验小学 李恒
摘要
教师话语不仅是课堂教学的媒介,而且是语言学习的内容,是学生模仿的目的语。因此教师话语的数量和质量影响甚至决定了课堂教学的成败。本文以新课改所倡导的“以学生为中心”的教学理念为背景,阐述了教师教学话语的重要性;分析教师用语的特点:示范与教授功能,可接受性和理解性,阶段性,重复性,以及教师的个性特征;分析其构成:课堂用语,师生交流语,讲授语和教师反馈语;并从规范教学用语,丰富课堂话语,减少教师话语量等八个方面展开论述,以此完善中学英语教师的教学用语,提高教学质量。最后,对英语教师课堂用语的重要性进行了总结。

Abstract
Teacher talk is not only the media of class teaching, but also the content of language learning and the target language for students to imitate. Therefore, the quality and quantity of teacher talk resolve the teaching result, successful or fail. In this thesis, the importance of teacher talk has been set forth in the background of the student-oriented teaching idea which is advocated by the curriculum reform after the definition of teacher talk. The form of teacher talk which includes classroom English, instruction English teacher-student interaction English,and teacher feedback English has been stated. The characteristics of teacher talk, such as the function of demonstration and instruction, acceptability, phase, and repeatability, has been analysied. Then, some ways to improve English teacher talk has been raised. At last, there is an conclusion about the importance of teacher talk.

1. Introduction
Nunan believes that teacher talk is of crucial importance, not only for the organization of the classroom but also for the processes of second language acquisition. It is not only the media of class teaching, but also the content of language learning and the target language for students to imitate. (1991: 198) In our country, most of the students begin their English learning in middle school, which is the crux stage of the development of the ability in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
