The green pace indicator flashes when the device delivers a pacing stimulus. The orange sense indicator flashes when the device senses the heartbeat. Setup indicators show in which chambers the device is set up to pace and sense. The battery indicator appears and flashes when it’s time to replace battery. The padlock icon appears when upper dials are locked, indicating rate and output cannot be adjusted. The DDI indicator appears when the DDI pacing mode is selected. LOCK/UNLOCK locks the upper dials so rate and output cannot be inadvertently changed. When the padlock icon is present, pressing the LOCK/UNLOCK key unlocks the upper dials so rate and output can be adjusted. Upper dials automatically lock 60 seconds after a parameter adjustment (5 minutes after a RAP adjustment). When upper dials are locked, the backlighting is off and the padlock icon appears. ON, OFF, MENU, EMERGENCY, and PAUSE also unlock the device. Press EMERGENCY to start high output dual chamber asynchronous pacing. Device may be on or off. Emergency pacing values: RATE Current setting (or 80 ppm if device was off) A OUTPUT 20 mA V OUTPUT 25 mA A SENSITIVITY ASYNC V SENSITIVITY ASYNC A-V INTERVAL Current setting (or 170 ms if device was off) Press ON to resume demand pacing at current rate and output and at nominal sensitivities. To interrupt pacing and sensing for up to ten seconds, press and hold the PAUSE key. To suspend pacing for more than ten seconds, release the PAUSE key; then press and hold it again. Use PAUSE with care because patient is without pacing support. Turn RATE dial clockwise to increase the rate; counterclockwise to decrease the rate. Rate range: 30 to 200 ppm Note: When the rate is set higher than 120 ppm, the bar size on the segmented line graph gets taller and thicker to indicate pacing at high pacing rates.
