Sheet 1 - The principles of crane operation As the person in charge of a lift, you will need to understand: Hydraulic mobile crane Sheet 2 - Determining the load mass using calculations; measuring the load; load cells (confirm with the crane before lifting); the shape of the load; weighbridge dockets; drawings; standard section tables; and delivery dockets.
