Cultural Diversity vs. Cultural Integration Hello，everyone! Today I am glad to stand here to share my idea of the topic “Cultural diversity vs. cultural integration” with you. As we all know that change is the eternal truth; we can not find the same two kinds of things, which is just like we will not get back to our childhood when we grow up. Personally, I think, our culture is just like our life. We need a diversified cultural life. Now I have a question---- what if we human only have one culture or festival in the whole year? Maybe it is too boring. And have you ever felt the beauty of discussing with people who come from different countries with different cultural backgrounds? In fact, we need a diversiform cultural life. With the development of modern advanced technology and fast economy, a realistic matter appears: Cultural diversity vs. cultural integration. As a university student, I got a lot of information about cultural aggression from the Internet. Now KFC’s supermarkets are opened all over the world, which has changed the customs of others’ countries in a way. What is more, some famous festivals are popular in many poor countries, like Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and so on. So now what matters is how to deal with the contradiction between cultural diversity and cultural integration. Maybe the development of Chinese culture is a good examples, China has a long history of more than five thousand years. Although it experienced more than ten different dynasties, Chinese culture has been accepted by more and more people in the world. Because China advocates seeking common ground while reserving differences all the time. Therefore I have three personal suggestions to tackle the contradiction between cultural diversity and cultural integration.
