Unit 8 Reading Why don’t you learn to sing English songs? Good morning,everyone! Today I’d like to talk about the words teaching of the reading of unit 8. In this unit, students will learn some new words and phrases to express themselves,and how singing English songs help their study. According to important points and difficult points, thinking of different abilities, give students opportunity to show themselves, have them learn by themselves and communicate in groups , to make them study actively, and enjoy studying, in order to use English well. Some students lose interest in studying, according to the survey on the screen, we can see that students have differernt abilities in studying, and their comprehensive ability is not good, I think the main reasons are :they can’t control the words, couldn’t complete the article, can’t use English. So, in teaching, I pay more attention to words teaching, and have words test, to make students control the words well. And, design studying tasks carefully, to make them active in English class. Besides, I give students some guide in words studying, remind them keep a habit of memorizing words according to spelling rules, and mind up to remember more relative words. According to standard of English and students abilities, in this class, students should control the words: enter、encourage、hear of、 suggest、 stage、winner、progress、native、modest、interested、nearly、 clearly、besides、make friends with、take an interest in,etc. and be able to make sentences and complete an article in groups. In this class, it’s important for students to control the words and phrases, and it’s difficult to complete an article with new words, because they are short of words and expressions.
