G: Milk or sugar? J: No, thanks. G: Here you are. A: Thanks. G: So, how was your trip to London, not too bad I hope. J: I came from Brighton by train. It’s only three stops on the underground from Waterloo Station. G: Yes, we’re quite conveniently located in the city. I see you’ve already completed your aptitude test. Has the training officer discussed the results yet? J: Yes, we had a telephone conversation the other week. G: Now, about your letter of application. In your C.V. you mention an interest in environmental issues. Could you tell me more about that? J: Yes, at university I took a module in the environmental aspects of European Import and Export Regulation. I also wrote my dissertation about it. G: I see, so you’re a bit of an expert in these matters. J: Hardly an expert but I have studied the issues. G: Before we go into more detail about automation, I’ll ask Deborah Cheetham to come over. She’s our Chief Financial Adviser. If we offer you the position, you’ll be working with her and Alice most of the time. D: Deborah. G: Yes Deborah. It’s Gerard here.
