ExcludedExecutiveandProfessionalEmployeesSummaryDescriptionofEmploymentPoliciesThisdocumentcontainsasummarydescriptionofthe policiesthatapplytothose executiveand professionalemployeesoftheUniversitywhoare excludedfrom coverageunder any collectivebargainingagreement.Allreferencesto“employee”or “employees”are thereforereferencesonlyto such excludedexecutiveandprofessionalemployees.Exceptinmattersgovernedbyparticularprovisionsoflaw, the Universityreservesthe righttorevise,supplement,orrescindanypolicy fromtime to time,in its soleand absolute discretion,withorwithoutnotice.NoprovisionofthisdocumentorofanyotherdocumentdevelopedordisseminatedbytheUniversityconstitutesanemploymentcontractoranagreementto continueyouremployment oranyotherobligationonthepartofthe Universityin regardto youremployment.The Universityreservesthe rightto changethe specificconditionsofyouremploymentwithoutnoticeornegotiation.Exceptinmattersgovernedbyparticularprovisionsoflaw,the final interpretationofthe policiesdescribedinthis documentorinanyotherdocumentsdevelopedordisseminatedbythe Universityis theexclusiveresponsibilityoftheUniversity.ThisdocumenthaseffectonandafterNovember1,2010.Itsupersedesall prior descriptionsoftheemploymentpoliciesthatapplytotheUniversity’semployees,including thosecontainedinthedocumentstyled“EmployeeBenefits,MassachusettsStateCollege Non-UnitProfessionalAdministrators”thathadeffectonJuly1,1986.Formore detailedinformationaboutparticularbenefits,includingcurrentrulesgoverning theiravailabilityand use,employeesshouldaddressthemselvestotheUniversity’sHuman ResourcesOffice.1.SalariesThesalaryof eachemployee,includinganinitialstartingsalary,isfixed bythe Universitywithreferencetoanysalaryrangethatmaybe ofapplicationtothepositionthe employee holdsand otherwisewith referenceto whatthe Universityjudgesto be the relevant marketandtotheemployee’squalificationsandexperience.Allemployeesare paid bi-weekly(generallyan annualtotalof26payperiods)bydirect depositthrough theCommonwealthofM
