We look at the situations of the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Japan. Over the last 20 years, we have seen that income distribution:  Has become distorted in favour of profits in the United States and Japan;  Has remained more or less stable in the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain;  Has become distorted in favour of employees in France and Italy. We calculate the profit rates that would be obtained if income distribution had remained stable in all these countries over the last 20 years. These profit rates corrected for the distortion of income distribution show companies’ real fundamental profitability, before it is skewed by an abnormal tren
