Teaching Process:
Step One: Warming-up
1.Sing a song
Daily talk
Step Two: Revision
Review the time expressions.
What time is it? It’s ….o’clock.
It’s half past …..
Say something about your daily routines
Step Three: Presentation
1.(Show a picture of a rainy day)
What’s weather like? It’s rainy.
What can you see in the picture?
What can you hear? I can hear wind. It goes Whoo-Whoo!
We can also hear the thunder. It goes crack-crack.
New words: typhoon, thunder
Read after the teacher.
(write) typhoon, thunder
How do you feel when there is a typhoon?
What do you need when there is a typhoon?
What noises can you hear when there is a typhoon?
Invite individual students to make those noises.
Playing the recording.
Students listen and follow in their books.
Play the recording again. Students listen and repeat.
Groups take turn to act out the rhyme in front of the class.
Step Four: Consolidation
Learn the sound
The moth is in the bath.
Play the recording. Students listen and follow in their books.
Play the recording again. Students listen and repeat.
Invite individual students to read sentence.
Step Five: Assignment
1.Listen to the tape and read the rhyme for several times
Copy the new words and the sentences.
