ERβ1influenceinvasionandmigrationofbreastcancercellsbyE-cadherin:apreliminaryexperimentalstudyAbstractBreastcanceristhemostcommonmalignancyandamajorcauseofdeathamong femalepopulation.Estrogenreceptorexpressioninbreastcancercellsisassociatedwiththetreatmentandprognosis.Estrogenbindstoandactivatesestrogenreceptor，andthenexertstheeffectsthroughacomplexarrayofsignalingpathway.Estrogenreceptorsaremembers ofthenuclearreceptorsuperfamily, the mainpoints are ERα，ERβand ERγ.Functionof ERαhasbeenclearedstudied;ERγhasfewresearchrelatively;thestructureandfunctionofERβisoneofthehotresearchspotinrecentyears.ERβ1isconsideredtobethewild-type、full-lengthhumanERβ,andistheonlyfullyfunctionalisoformreceptorcurrently known. ERβ1tends to form heterodimers with other isoforms under thestimulation.Incontrast,ERβ2，3，5donotformhomodimeraandhavenoinnateactivitiesof theirown.MoststudiesshowthatERβcouldplayananti-proliferationeffect.ERβactsasatumorsuppressorgeneinthemalignanttumor.StudiesalsofoundthatthedecreasedexpressionofERβinvariousepithelialcancer,suchasprostatecancer,breastcancer,lungcancerandovarioncancer.AccumulateddatesfromproteinstudiesincancertissuesindicatethatpositiveexpressionofERβcorrelateswithafavorableprognosis.However, untilnow,themechanismsresponsibleforthedecreasedexpressionofERβintumorsand thebiologicalfunctionsofERβremainelusive.Epithelial-mesenchymaltransitionplayanimportantroleintheprocessofepithelialtumormetastasis,inwhichdownregulationofE-cadherinismostimportantmoleculareventduring EMT. Studies have shownthatthe expression ofERαcouldupregulateE-cadexpressionthroughlowertheslugexpressionandthenreducetheincidenceofEMT.Nevertheless, nostudyontherelationshipbetweenERβexpressionandEMThasbeenreported.ThisstudyfocusonthepreliminaryexperimentalstudyontherelationshipbetweenERβandEMT.ThistopicismajorontherelationshipofERβandEMT inbreastcancer.Bydetecting thetargetproteinexpressionoftheclinicalbreastcancerspecimensandregulatingthetargetproteinexpressioninvitrocellexperiments,wewa
