The main contents and the results of this paper are as follows: This paper uses the idea of product family to do a research and classification on the features of the rotational parts detection，This paper use the modular idea to devide the various rotational parts into simple ,independent detection unit body,this composition of the independent testing units forms a rotational part. this paper does a ultrasonic testing research on each separate test unit , so that each unit corresponds to their detection method group. This paper use the UG software feature technology to do a research on the detection unit which is consist of rotational parts,and it often uses the UDF(user defined features)of UG to establish the feature model of the detection unit . the advantage is that the extracting feature information is very intuitive This paper use the UG / OPEN API functions to extract the feature information .and it inputs ultrasound testing requirements using interactive methods .it also reuses XML technique to make a planning and organization for the extracted characteristic information Finally this paper organizes and storages ultrasonic testing facts library and ultrasound testing process rule library using relational database and use rules and conditions to develop rea
