Through the investigation and research of current systems of postgraduate enrollment applied, and by integrating features of the process of postgraduate enrollment , the author designed a system of postgraduate enrolling management, which is based on the web technology, and is highly efficient with low cost. This system accords with the Standards of Management Information of Institutes of Higher Learning and Degrees Issued by Scientific Research Institutions and Postgraduate Education, it also completely fits the Ministry of Education’s system of the national postgraduate enrollment. Not only can it provide excellent and efficient statistics management for postgraduate departments, but also standardize every procedure in postgraduate enrollment, so as to improve the level of management informatization of institutes of higher learning and increase the efficiency in postgraduate enrolling work. This thesis introduces the background and practical significance of the subject firstly, with a brief introduction of the key technology and the tools it used. Then, through a series of detailed analysis consisting of demands analysis and feasibility analysis, we designed the system on practical situation. It introduces the system realization and test conditions finally. This system is based on structure of B/S and technology of ASP, using SOL Server 2000 as the database. The Md5 encryption technique is applied to make the secured logging-on realizable, and its graded examination strengthens the security of the system
