AbstractThe rapid development of networks increase the demands of the address space, network security, as well as multicast applications and all of these demands speed up the development of IPv6. Now the network has a dual IPv4 and IPv6 networks coexist trend; and this trend will be long-term coexistence. In this paper, it analysis depthly and research the current IPv4 and IPv6 of three common inter-communication technology. On this basis, the use of tunnel technology and network address translation – protocol ranslation (NAT-PT) of the respective technical merits of the transition to discuss and explore a new technology - based on the tunnel technology and NAT-PT transition of new technology. The biggest advantage of tunnel technology is to make full use of existing networks, and backbone network equipment will be able to realize .There is no need to upgrade. But it can not resolve the consumption of the address, and NAT-PT technology to IPv6 nodes dynamically allocated IPv4 address. to some extent NAT-PT technology solve the address depletion problem.IPv4 and IPv6 co-existence phase, it must be resolved that the node under the IPv4 network access resources of the IPv6 network node which is a matter of urgency. In the IPv4 and IPv6 network resources exchange of visits, using a proxy server is a method worthy of recommendation. It use a proxy server for data processing and forwarding in socket technology . In this way, the devices do not have to do too much work which make it easier to achieve a network of other resources between server and client. For resources for the next exchange of visits in Hybrid Network, this paper first analysis the proxy server process and the model and the realization of the principle.
