AbstractRecently,P2P(Peer-to-Peer)technologyhaswitnessedarapiddevelopmentandhasatremendousimpactonpeopleslives.Basically,howtoefficientlyqueryandlocateresourcesisthekeytoP2Papplications,Therefore,P2Presourcesearchalgorithmsattractagreatdealofresearchattention.ThisthesisfirstlyintroducesthebasiccharacteristicsofP2Pnetworks,benefitsandstate-of-the-artofresearch.Specifically,threetypicalP2Pnetworkconstructionmethodsarebrieflyoverviewed:hybrid,unstructuredandstructuredP2P.DuetothefactthatstructuredP2Pisarelativelyefficientwaytolocateresources,thethesisconductedtwoimprovementstoincreasethesearchefficiencyinchordalgorithm.Indetail,thecontributionsaretwofold:First,consideringtheshortcomingsinoriginalChord:routinginformationisnotabundant,andresourcelocationcanonlybeenforcedinone-way,anewalgorithmcalledAB-ChordisdesignedtoreconstructtheroutingtableinChord,inwhichsomevalidinformationforefficientroutingisappended,andcounter-clockwiseitemsalsoaddedtoachievetwo-wayresourcequeries.Inadditional-Chordimplementsanewoperationtoremovetheredundantinformation,soitcanreducethemaintenancecostsoftheroutingtable.ThesimulationresultsshowthattheAB-ChordissuperiortotheChordandBi-Chordintwoaspectsoftheaveragequerypathlengthandtheaveragequerydelay.Thatis,AB-Chordsqueryefficiencyhasbeenimprovedtosomeextent.DuetotheproposedAB-Chordalgorithmenlargedtheroutingtablewhichmaycausetheforward-stormofquerymessages,thethesisproposesanewroutingtableupdatemechanismforAB-Chord.Thenewalgorithmappropriatelyextendstheperiodictimeofupdatingtheroutingtableandmakesthejoiningandleavingthenodesactivelysendupdatingmessagesoftheroutingtabletoreducethenumberofmessagesforwardedinthenetwork.Throughthesimulationanalysis,wefoundnewalgorithmhasimprovedinthreeaspectsoftheoverallbandwidth,theinputbandwidth,theoutputbandwidthanditreducedthenetworkbandwidthconsumption.Keywords:Peer-to-Peernetwork,resourcessearch,chord,P2Psim,routingtable目录摘要.........................................................................................
