ABSTRACTEffectiveinterculturalcommunicationhasbecomeoneimportantfactortodriveworldpeaceandhumanbeingdevelopingonglobalizationday.Differentculturescontact、communicateandcollidemorefrequently.Culturalconflicthasbecomeoneimportantproblemontheglobalizationcourse.Oneimportantreasonofculturalconflictandcrisisisshortofunderstandingtoeachotherculturedifferencesandinterculturalcommunicationthought.Underthisbackground,theinterculturalcommunicationstudyofPearlS.BuckwhohadgainNobelPrizeandmadecreativenesscontributiontoChineseandWesternculturalexchangein20thhasmoretheoryvalueandpracticalorimmediatesignificance.ThepaperstudiedtheresearchachievementsofChina-foreignAcademiccircles,revealedthedeepreasonsofhersuccessfulinterculturalcommunicationfromscientificprincipleandputforwardinnovativeviewpoint.ThechapteroneselectsPearlS.BuckwhohadmadeabrilliantcontributiontoChineseculturespreadingandChineseandWesternculturalexchangeasobjectofstudy.Thethesisstudiesthereasons,strategiesandtheinfluenceofhertakingupinterculturalcommunication.Theauthorresearchestheseproblemsundertheguideofinterculturalcommunicationtheoryinordertoprovidesomeusefullessonstointerculturalcommunication.Thechaptertwointroducessomeinterculturalcommunicationtheories.ThethirdchapterisaboutthereasonofPearlS.Bucktakingupinterculturalcommunication.Itiscloselyrelatedwiththeageofcolonialismanddifferentculturenoadmitting.Theageprovidedherinterculturallife,doubleeducationofChinaandwestandconditionofinterculturalcommunication.Buttheagealsobroughtherworriesofdifferentcultureconflict.ShewasamarginalpeoplewithoutcultureidentitybecausesheacceptedneitherbyChineseculturenorAmericanculture.Ifeastandwestculturecancommunicate,respecteachother,treateachotherequallyandmulti-coexist,shewouldnotbefedupwithdifferentcultureconflictandworryabouthercultureidentity.ThussheselectedinterculturalcommunicationofconnectingtheChinaandwestasherwholelifeoccupation.Theforthchapterintroducesherwaysofinterculturalcommunication.Thefifthchapterisabouttheintercult
