FABP6 protein was also detected in 10 paired mentioned samples by Western blotting. 57 slices of paraffin-embedd RCCC tissues and 8 slices of normal paraffin-embedd renal tissues were stained by immunohistochemistry, and the relevances between clinicopathologic variables and FABP6 protein expression were also analyzed.Results: FABP6 mRNAs, as well as FABP6 proteins, were overexpressed in tumor tissues of RCCC but no expression in normal renal tissues. There was no relationship between FABP6 protein expression and the clinicopathologic variables of RCCC.Conclusions: FABP6 is upexpressed in RCCC, which indicates that this gene may play an important role in the tumorgenesis and progression of renal neoplasm. However, there is no sufficient evidence showing the expression of FABP6 protein is related to patients’ age, gender, tumor size, lymphnode metastasis, distant metastasis, AJCC grading, recurrence of tumor
