Unit2 Neighbors 【Study skills】学习技能 Learning aims: 1. To know stress in a word on Page 15 and read a word according to its phonetic symbol correctly. 2. To know four different ways of linking sounds together on Page 27 and use correct ways of linking sounds to read sentences. Guide one (5) 1. Do you know how many syllables do they have? Guide Two (5) 1.Listen to Part A and practice saying them. Guide Three(10) 1. Listen to Part B and underline the stressed syllable of each word. Guide Four (10) 1.Know four different ways of linking sounds together. (2). When the first word ends in -r or -re and the next word begins with a vowel sound, we join them together with a /r/ sound between them. (3). When there are two vowel sounds, we join them as if there were a /j/ or /w/ sound between them. (4).When two consonant sounds of two words meet, we sometimes do not need to pronounce the first consonant sound. Guide Five (10) 1. Listen to Part A on Page 27 and practice saying them. (1). cold ice (2). big orange (3). an egg (4). an umbrella (5). turn on (6) get up 2.Listen to Part B on Page 27 and practice saying them.
