And The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is one of his most outstanding novels. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn mainly tells about the story of a white boy Huckleberry Finn, who helped the black slave Jim get rid of his miserable fate to be sold and to be enslaved in the social background with a decadent bourgeois way of life and the evils of slavery, which shapes Huckleberry Finn’s image as one with a sense of justice and rebellious spirit. Due to his attractive personalities, Huck is favored by numerous readers. The thesis fully analyses the image of Huckleberry Finn from the macroscopic perspective. The first chapter molds the image of Huckleberry Finn as a rebel against the civilization. In the second chapter, the thesis shows the image of Huckleberry Finn as a pragmatist, expounding that Huckleberry Finn avoids disadvantages and values experience and results. The third chapter points out that Huckleberry Finn as a defender of morality, is a real egalitarian, and a righteous and compassionate man as well.
