AbstractWiththedevelopmentoflargeconstuctionprojects,suchasWindPowerand NuclearPower,anddemendofintegralliftingoperation,allterraincraneswith maximizationaltelescopicboomsareneeded.Complicatedcranejibsareusedin modernconstuctionstocontentthedemandofintegralliftingoperations.The telescopicboomwithsuperliftsystemhasagoodliftingperformanceinheavy liftingoperation,butbecauseofthecomplexstructure,itsstabilityanalysishas beenadifficultywhichrestrictsthedevelopmentoflargetelescopicboominour country,andit’sespeciallyforthestabilityanalysisofthecombinedtelescopic boom.Sofar,thereisnoresearchdomesticcanbedirectlyappliedtoengineering design.Inthispaper,thestabilityanalysisofthecombinedtelescopicboomand thetelescopicboomwithsuperliftsystemwerestudied.Andthisarticleseeksto doalittleusefulcontributioninthisrespect.Cranejibwithtwosymmetrictierodsisstudiedanditscalculationmethod andformulaarepresented.Differentialequationwithnon-directionalforces causedbythetwosymmetrictierodsisestablishedincriticalcondition. According totheboundaryconditionsandproperparameterprocessing,theout-of-plane characteristicequationisobtainedforthecranejib.Thecontributionoftheangle betweentwosymmetrictierodstotheout-of-planestabilityofthecranejibisalso discussed.Theresultsshowthat,thecranejibwithtwosymmetrictierodshas higherout-of-planestability thanthatwithone, and the increase of the angle betweenthetwosymmetrictierodswillleadtothesignificantincreaseofthe out-of-planestabilityofthecranejib.Cranejibwithsuperliftsystemisstudiedanditscalculationmethodand formulaarepresented.Bothofthein-planestabilityandtheout-of-planestability arediscussed,especiallyfortheout-of-planestabilityproblem.Differential equationbyconsideringthetwonon-directionalforcescausedbythetwo symmetrictierodsandtheeffectofthelateralstiffnessofthesuperliftstruttieis establishedincriticalcondition.Accordingtotheboundaryconditionsandproper parameterprocessing,theout-of-planecharacteristicequationisobtainedforthe cranejib.Theeffectstotheout-of-p
