How to make a slide of onion (epithelial) cells. 1. Take a small square of a layer of onion 2. Using tweezers peel off the filmy layer (epithelial) on top of the square 3.Place this layer of cells (one cell thick) onto a clean slide, carefully laying it flat 4. Add 1-2 drops of either methylene blue stain or iodine solution using a dropping pipette 5.Lower a cover slip onto the cells using a mounted needle. 6.
