Teaching aims
1.language goals: money, pay, pay for, price, advertising, product, ad, make money
2.Ability goals: Grasp the adverbial clauses.
3:Moral goals: Talking about shopping.
Women have a common hobby-shopping. When they are shopping, that kinds of shops do you know? Talk about the studens.
Activity-Discussion
Think adout it!”. Think adout the following questions:
1.Do you always carry money in your pocket?
2.What would you do if you picked up fifty yuan?
3. How do people make money ?
4. Why do people need money ?
Listening
Listen task true or false.
Listen to the tape and answer : Why do jenny, Danny and Brian need money?”
Teaching procedures
Step1.Practise the ads.
Take our something that student are interested in. Let them write advertising for them. If it is a pen .what can student say about it?If you want to help them make the advertising better ,what can you do ?
Step2: let some student introduce their favorite advertising to theclass. Tell the others why you like it best. Do you think what advertising you dislike? Why?
Step 3.Reading
Read the text and let the students the following questions:
What is the news about?
Who will bake something good to eat?
Read the text again and do with the content in details. Let the students find more questions about this part, If they find any questions, they can stand up and ask any student. If they can’t do it well at once, you can give them examples. Such as:
How much does a player need?50
What will Brian do in order to make money? (To bake something good to eat .)
What’s the price of the cookies? 9Four for a dollar.)
Step 4: Grammar(Teaching difficult points.)
