An Efficient Procedure for Protection of Carbonyls Catalyzed by Polyaniline Salt under Solvent-free Condition Niu Zhigang1,Han Teng2 (1.Department of Petrochemical Engineering, Lanzhou Petrochemical College of Technology， Lanzhou, 730060, China2; Department of Marketing and transportation of Additives Limited Company of Lu Borun Lanlian , Lanzhou 730060,China) have been used as an efficient and recyclable catalyst for acetalization between aldehydes and acetic anhydride. Aldehydes can also be converted to the corresponding acetals using diols as protection reagents. The influence of reaction time, reaction temperature, and the amount of catalyst were studied. Some of the compounds were characterized by IR spectrum, Mp, 1H NMR and 13C NMR analysis. Keywords: acetals; acetalization; polyaniline salt; protecting groups 聚苯胺盐在无溶剂条件下有效催化羰基保护反应牛治刚1 韩腾2 （1．兰州石化职业技术学院应用化学工程系，甘肃兰州 730060；2.兰州路博润兰炼添加剂有限公司营运部，甘肃兰州 730060) 摘要: 硫酸掺杂聚苯胺及其聚苯胺盐衍生物可以用于醛和乙酰乙酸乙酯的缩醛化反应，催化剂具有高效，可回收等特性。同时，利用二元醇作为保护基团，醛也可以转换成相应的乙缩醛。我们还考察了反应时间，温度和催化剂的用量对反应的影响，并对其中的一些产物进行了红外波谱、熔点测定, 1H NMR and 13C NMR 等分析。关键词: 乙缩醛; 缩醛作用;; 保护基团 1 Introduction Acidic catalysts are often being used in organic syntheses and industrial processes [1]. The replacement of environmental hazardous liquid catalysts in existing processes, by the use of kinds of solid acid catalysts, is one of the innovative trends [2]. Considerable attentions have been paid to the potential of polymer-supported catalysts as heterogeneous and regenerable catalysts in organic transformations. In recent years, polyaniline salts have received considerable attention as a mild polymer based solid acid catalyst in organic synthesis [3-6]. Polyaniline-supported metals (Pd, Pt, etc.) [7] and polyaniline-doped heteropoly acids (12-tungstosilicic acid, 12-molybdophosphoric acid) [8] exhibited good catalytic activity in organic synthesis.
