Chapter ___ Criterion One: Mission and Integrity Criterion Statement: The organization operates with integrity to ensure the fulfillment of its mission through structures and processes that involved the board, administration, faculty, staff, and students. Core Component – 1A. The organization’s mission documents are clear and articulate publicly the organization’s commitments. Component 1A(1). The board has adopted statements of missions, vision, values, goals and organizational priorities that together clearly and broadly defines the organization’s mission. The DACC Mission, Values and Vision statements clearly identify that student learning is the highest priority at DACC. Terms that reflect learning in the mission and vision statements include “learning-centered,” “learning college grounded in academic excellence,” and “lifelong learning.” DACC accepts responsibility to provide quality educational opportunities that assist students in achieving their individual educational goals, securing employment and/or transferring to four-year institutions. The Mission Statement provides stability and a solid foundation for directing planning. The Values Statement drives strategic, organizational, budgetary and administrative planning and practices, thus reflecting DACC’s commitment to serving it constituents: students, employees and the community.
