If we can achieve the automatic feeding and automatic clamping, production efficiency will be greatly improved and we can create great value . So, starting from the tail stock of the turning and grinding machine tools, achieve the automatic feeding and automatic clamping, it is quite necessary. Reference to the traditional structure of the tail stock,I design a structure, its hydraulic system complete the clamping, motor drive screw to achieve the feed of the tail stock.In this design, the hydraulic cylinder which controls core clamper’s movement,is inside the tail stock,and composed of sleeve, piston and cylinder cover.This design make the tail stock that designed by me ,is different from normal hydraulic tail stock ,it don’t need to install a cylinder at the back of tail stock for moving the core clamper.The motor is connected with the worm,and the worm rotates the lead screw through its connection with worm wheel,then the screw nut moves along the lead screw’s axis with the screw’s rotation,drive the tail stock’s body that connected with it to move along the lead rail.On the basis of designing the structure of the tail stock, the total design of the tail stock is finished by analyzing the working principle of the tail stock.
