摘要 本论文以小说《到黑夜想你没办法》为例，研究文学作品中粗俗语的英译情 况。受到粗俗语本身特点的限制，粗俗语研究直到最近几十年才引起学术界的关 注，因此粗俗语及其翻译研究缺乏系统性。本文根据前人的研究结果，对中英粗 俗语进行了分类比较，分析了粗俗语的语用功能。在此基础之上，本论文从奈达 提出的对等翻译理论角度切入，分析了译者对小说中粗俗语翻译的方法。在研究 过程中，本论文主要运用了文献法和举例法，对译者所用的翻译方法加以分析和 总结。 通过研究，本论文发现在对粗俗语进行翻译时，若粗俗语的意义和文化背景 在汉语和英语中相近或差异不大，译者多采用形式对等的翻译策略。如汉语中的 粗俗语在英语中找不到对应词或与英语中的对应词在文化意义上差异较大，译者 多采用动态对等的策略。 本论文依托对等理论，对文学作品中的粗俗语翻译做了尝试性研究，并为粗 俗语翻译提供了新的角度，希望对今后的粗俗语翻译研究有所帮助。 关键词：粗俗语；形式对等；动态对等 ABSTRACT Thisthesistalksaboutthe translationof in English vulgarlanguageliterary thenovelThereIs ICanDoWhen1ThinkYouLateat works．taking Nothing of Night asan of hasn’tattractedtheattentionofscholars example．Thestudyvulgarlanguage untiltherecentdecadesforthenatureof itselfSOthatresearcheson vulgarlanguage anditstranslationhavenotbeendone on vulgarlanguage systematically．Based thesismakesclassificationsofChinese and previousstudies，the vulgarlanguage in their functions the Englishvulgarlanguage，analyzingpragmatic general．Then translationmethods inthetranslationof fromChineseto employed vulgarlanguage thetranslatorarediscussedunderthetheoreticalframeworkof Englishby Eugene Nida’S this and arethemain equivalencetheory．Inthesis，documemsexamples devicestoillustratethetranslation thetranslator． strategiesadoptedby careful isfoundthatthe
