ContrastingStudingontheeffectsofPanaxNotoginsengSaponinswithShenmaiinjectiononbrainedema,behavioralchangesinratthathaveintracerebralhemorrhagedABSTRACTObjective:ToStudytheeffectofPanaxNotoginsengSaponins(PNS)withShenmaiinjection(SM)onneurobehavioralchanges,changesinbrainwatercontent,expressionofbraintissuetumornecrosisfactor-α(TNF-a)andheatshockprotein70(HSP70)inintracerebralhemorrhage-rat.ContrasttheeffectofPNSwithSMonintracerebralhemorrhage-rat’sbraindamageandcerebraledema;Findoutthemoreeffectiveanti-Chinesemedicinethatcantreatcerebralhemorrhageandcerebraledema;Providethebasisforclinicalmedicinetheory;provideatheoreticalandexperimentalbasisfortheexpansionofChinesemedicineintheareasthatpreventandtreathemorrhagiccerebrovasculardisease.Methods:Accordingtoexperimentaldesign,104healthycleanmaleSDratswererandomlyallocatedinto:Sham-operatedgroup,Modelgroup,Glyce-rolgroup,PNSgroupandSMgroup.Collagenaseandheparincompositemethodcausedcerebralhemorrhagemodels,sham-operatedgroupwon’tbeinjectedcollagenase.Intracerebralhemorrhageratmodelwerebuilt3hourslater,thoseratmodelsweregivenintraperitonalinjection2mlrespectivelyaccordingtoexperimentaldesign,onceaday.Sham-operatedgroupwon’tbeadministered.Atthecorrespondingpoint,conductedneurobehavioralscoreofratsineachgroup,andthendecapitated,Removethebraintissueafteranaesthetized.Thebraintissuewereevenlydividedintofour-partinordertoprevailpinholesurgery:theleftanterior,leftposterior,rightanterior,rightposterior.Separately,todeterminebraintissuewatercontent,cellmorpholo-gychanges,andtheTNF-aandHSP70expressionaroundhemorrhagicfociusingimmunoHistochemistry.Results:1.Comparisonofneuroethology:TherewasnosymptomsofneurologicaldeficitsintheSham-operatedgroup.Theratsintherestgroupsappearedvaryingdegreesofneurologicaldeficitssymptoms,whichmostobviouslyoccurredat48haftermodelsshaped,andalleviatedgraduallyin4dand7d.Comparedwithmodelgroup,thesymptomsofGlycerolgroup,PNSgroupandSMgroupwerelighteratdifferenttimepoints.Thereinto,thenervefunctionofGlycero
