This slide shows the common codes used in Programming along with explanations of each line of code.The percent sign will not show on the control. If you program on a computer though, you must include it. There are other ways that this could be programmed. Some codes can be combined on the same line while some cannot. You cannot have two M codes on the same line. You can also not have two codes from the same code group (for example a G00 and G01) on the same line. Make sure you include decimal points for axis locations and Feeds. * * The Advanced Editor Menus can help you with various editing functions, similar to a word processor. There is a help text at the bottom right and is viewed using the up, down, home, and end keys – not arrows. There are also a number of shortcut keys that you can use instead of the Drop down menus. F2-F2 to highlight a block of code that you want to copy or delete, is very useful. * * The box in the middle right contains some information pertaining to the highlighted Quick Code section. As can be seen here, you must turn the handle CCW for SUB-Menus and CW for the Main Menu topics. To select a menu, Press W/E. Quick Code can help you create the code for a program, but it is a little more time consuming the Visual Quick Code. QC contains a selection for Engraving (under “9. Misc Commands”). You will need to add some other commands, though, such as a Tool change, Spindle on, and positioning. These you could copy from other sections of your program, or use the selections in Quick Code. You could also use the Intuitive Programming System to program the engraving.
