I II Abstract With the development of the national economy and society, the demand for electricity is rising. As an important means to improve reliability and quality of power supply, DA has become an inevitable trend of urban distribution network.Communication Network is an important part of DAS, the uplink to transfer the working information of RTU, the downlink to convey the operation command from control center. The communication network is a basic condition and important factor of DAS, its performance largely determines the pros and cons of the DAS. Therefore, how to set up an efficient communication network becomes an important research topic in the current distribution network construction. Based on the demanding analysis of DAS, the thesis describes the networking principle, networking models, and typical construction programs. This thesis proposes that the communication network could use hierarchical design according to the structure of DAS, and proves the feasibility and practicality of the backbone layer and the access layer communication network construction program. By researching the characteristics and the development trend of Puyang area distribution network, this thesis gives the construction model of DA and matching communication network construction program. The backbone layer uses existing SDH optical fiber transmission network. The access layer chooses EPON technology, and supplemented by 3G technology. This construction program has many advantages, such as reducing investment and having short construction period, so that it could set up an efficient and practical communication network for DAS.
