More and more home textile enterprises try to seize the market through a variety of marketing tools, in which color marketing plays an important role. It is so-called Seventy percent of colour, Thirty percent flower. It often have the function of attracting consumers and more expressive than other design elements. With the development of the science and technology and the improvement of the living standard , the requirements for home textile, including quality, quantify, kind, have become higher. so the home textile industry trends to maximize the market value of colors. Designers strive to enhance the appeal of home textile and express peoples pursuit of the ideal of Art by optimizing the colors. Our country is a united multi-ethnic country. 56 Chinese traditional cultures provide an inexhaustible resource for modern design. Southeast region of Qian is the largest community of Miao, where is excellent national costume culture as well as beautiful scenery, dress cultural. With dark cloth, Miao embroidery, sliver ornament constitute the brilliantly custom. Yet the industrial era has threatened the survival of traditional crafts. It caused peoples attention to inheritance and development of Miao costume for a designer to protect traditional culture. This article about southwest Guizhou Miao clothing color in morden textile design application and research, From the views of territorial environment and historical development , we try to reveal the cultural connotations of colors. Based on the study of the color , fabric, handcraft, colors of Miao dress will be applied to Personal design work. The writer hopes that this article, it can play a certain role to push the development for textile designer.
