AbstractWiththeadventofthemobileInternetera,theconvenienceofusingInternetisimprovingandthenumberofterminalsisincreasing,whichleadstorapidgrowthofspeedandfrequencyofinformationpublishing.SearchingforinformationrelatedtoaspecificcharacterisoneofthemainpurposesofinformationsearchingbehaviorsontheInternet.theuniversalityofpersonssharingsamenamesleadstoseriousreferenceambiguitiesinwebtexts.General-purposesearchenginesreturnresultswithambiguitiesandcannotorganizeinformationeffectively.Thatmakestheusersspendalotoftimeinfiguringthepersonofinterestfromthemanyothercharactersofthesamename.Moreover,theusersareattheriskoflosingofimportantinformation.Therefore,Itisaveryimportantissuetoeliminatetheseambiguitieseffectivelyandpresentthecharactersinformationtotheusersinanorganizedform.Tothisend,thisthesisworkedinthefollowing4aspects:First,thisthesisdiscussestheprocessofartificialannotationprocessofnameambiguitycorpus,andatwo-stageAdaptiveResonanceTheory(ART)baseddisambiguationstrategyisproposedtoimitatethisprocess:inthefirststage,categoriesrepresentpersonsareconstructedanddocumentsareclassified;inthesecondstage,similarsetsaremergedbyahierarchicalclusteringmethod.oursystemconstructsthetargetconceptsetsandeliminatestheambiguitiesbyrealizingahuman-likebehavior.Experimentsaredesignedtoverifythevalidityofthetwo-stagestrategyofdisambiguation.Incomparisonwiththeagglomerativeclusteringmethod,ourstrategyimprovetheperformancebyrespectively0.92%and5.00%ontwokindsofnamerecognitionresults.Second,thisthesisrealizedtheman-machinemutualaidsystemtoassistedtheestablishmentoftherulesofrecognitionandavarietyofknowledgedictionaryresources.Theseresourcesandrulesareusedinrecognitionsystem.BycomparingtherulebasedmethodwithothernamedentityrecognitiontoolsISLEXandLTP,thisthesisverifythevalidityandefficiencyofrulebasedmethod,andprovethemethodispracticalinthenamedisambiguationsystem.Third,thisthesisannotatetheSogouNewscorpustobuildthecorpusresourcesofrealInternetdata.TheimportanceofthecharactersattributesoftheI
